Privacy Policy

This policy explains what JJ Studio AI (“we,” “us”) collects, why, and what control you have. We are a US-based company headquartered in California.

1. What we collect

Account information

Your email address and a securely hashed password, handled by our authentication provider (Supabase). We never see your password in plain text.

Billing information

If you subscribe, our payment processor (Stripe) collects your card details, name and billing address directly. We never receive or store your full card number. We store only a Stripe customer identifier, your subscription status, plan, and renewal date.

Waitlist information

If you join the waitlist, we store the email address you submit so we can tell you when early access opens.

Video and audio

The camera-based product is still in development and is not yet available to the public. When it ships, this section will describe exactly what footage is processed, where processing happens, and how long anything is retained — and we will notify existing users before that change takes effect. Today, we do not collect video or audio from you.

Technical information

Our hosting provider records standard server logs (IP address, browser user agent, timestamps, requested URL) for security and reliability. We use strictly necessary cookies to keep you signed in. We do not use advertising cookies, and we do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioural advertising.

2. Why we use it

• To create and secure your account.
• To process payments, manage subscriptions, and send billing receipts.
• To provide support and answer your questions.
• To operate, debug and improve the service, and to protect it from abuse.
• To comply with legal, tax and accounting obligations.

3. Who we share it with

We share personal information only with service providers who process it on our behalf under contract:

• Supabase — authentication and database hosting.
• Stripe — payment processing, subscription billing and fraud prevention.
• Vercel — website and application hosting.

We may also disclose information if required by law, or in connection with a merger or acquisition (in which case you will be notified). We do not sell your personal information.

4. How long we keep it

Account data is kept while your account is open. If you delete your account we remove your personal data within 30 days, except records we must keep for tax, accounting or legal purposes — typically billing records retained for seven years.

5. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or receive a portable copy of your personal information, and to withdraw consent. California residents have these rights under the CCPA as amended by the CPRA, including the right not to be discriminated against for exercising them.

To exercise any right, email careers@jjstudioai.com. We will respond within the period required by applicable law (45 days in California, extendable once). We may need to verify your identity first.

6. Security

Data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest by our providers. Access to production data is limited to those who need it. No system is perfectly secure, but we will notify affected users and regulators as required by law if a breach occurs.

7. Children

The service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.

8. International users

We operate in the United States, and information we collect is processed there. If you use the service from outside the US, you understand your information will be transferred to and processed in the US.

9. Changes

We will post any update here and change the date above. If a change is material we will notify you by email or in-product notice before it takes effect.
